Researchers at Rice University and MIT have published a paper devoted to fracturing in 2D materials in the MRS Bulletin Magazine of the Materials Research Society.

“Fracture at the two-dimensional limit,” published in the magazine’s August issue, was written by Jun Lou, professor of materials science and nanoengineering, and three doctoral students in his research group: Doug Steinbach, Boyu Zhang and Qiyi Fang.

The authors at MIT are Markus J. Buehler, professor of civil and environmental engineering (CEE); Bo Ni, postdoctoral researcher in CEE; Zhenze Yang, a doctoral student in materials science and engineering; and Andrew Lew, a doctoral student in chemistry.
