Our Materials Science and NanoEngineering curriculum provides undergraduate students with the requisite skills and educational background to contribute to the solution of many materials and nanoengineering problems, allows graduates to work in a growing, fascinating field.
The Department of Materials Science & NanoEngineering offers two undergraduate degrees. A Bachelor of Arts is a more flexible degree for students looking to pursue areas of interest outside of engineering. The Bachelor of Science is an accredited program that prepares students for the professional practice of engineering or a career in academia.
Rice Engineering provides undergraduate students with many opportunities for hands-on engineering of real-world design challenges and opportunities for research while preparing them for lifelong learning with a rigorous program in science and engineering fundamentals.
