Materials engineering at Rice tied for 28th, up one spot from last year, among the nation’s top graduate programs, in the 2022 U.S. News and World Report ranking.
This marks the third year in a row in which the program has placed in the top 30 in the category of “Best Graduate Schools (Engineering, Materials).”
The annual assessment is based on evaluations by department chairs at peer engineering schools.
